Match report It was the first game for the reserves yesterday with Owen Mosse making his debut in the team not only as a player but the captain of the team. Having won the toss and the game being shortened to 11 overs a side due to the games before over running he decided to bowl first.

Opening the bowling was Luke Rayner and Stuie Careless. The runs flowed as an inexperienced Boreham Reserves tried to settle down to life in division four. Stuie found it too much and his bowling was a pile of **** as he could not adapt to using the new ball (0-39 of 2, 30 of those runs were sixes).

Luke gained a wicket in the later stages of the innings and finished on a respectable 1-40. Micky Rayner and Mike Bruder also turned there arms over with Micky gaining a wicket and good figures of 1-20 of 3 while Mike ended on 0-36 of 3.

High Garrett set a total of 138 to win. Dave Stanton, another debutant showed he was no push over with the bat by scoring 26, but the wickets fell at regular intervals and Boreham Reserves eventually even after a rear guard showing from Owen (14) fell to 71 all out.

Lessons to be learned from this match and also for some players being able to see that yellow ball would help too. Still a long way to go in the season with the next match in two weeks (20th) verses Terling Reserves.
