Terling v Boreham & Roxwell Cricket Club BDICL 2 on Sun 22 Oct 2017 at 15:30
Boreham & Roxwell Cricket Club Won by 5 Wickets.
Match report
Boreham Reserves win comfortably.
Boreham Reserves went into this match with a new look team. Two players making there debuts in the indoor league. Kye Hayden who has played a handful of Sunday matches in 2017 and Emily Thorpe from Hatfield Peverel. Captain Trevor won the toss and elected to field first.
Opening the bowling was Ken Greenaway and young Emily. Emily made the break through picking up her first wicket at the exspense of Taylor with a stupendious caught and bowled off the roof at a huge rate of knots. This was followed up with Ken getting Harrison out bowled the next over. Emily was not done as then she had Woolfenden caught by Kye Hayden in her second over.
Terling were rocked, 25-3 from 4 overs. Ken and Emily both bowled out with figures of 3-0-17-1 and 3-0-30-2 respectively.
Kye and Trevor were next up and Terling started to find there feet batting with both Tompkin & Atkinson putting on a good partnership of 53 for the 4th wicket before Trevor & Emily combined to run out Tompkin. Terling found themselves on 78-4. Just 15 runs later Atkinson found himself run out by Graham & Neil, so with Terling on 93-5 and with Wood-Kneller in control the runs dried up. Terling ended up 104 all out when Kye caught Wood-Kneller on 10 off the bowling of Trevor.
Kye ended up on 3-0-29-0 and Trevor 3-0-27-1 respectively.
The Reserves went the usual route with experence in the batting order with Trevor & Ken opening. Ken was out for 12 caught by Taylor from Atkinson's bowling thus meaning the reserves were on 51-1 from 5.3 overs. This though bought in Neil Collins who scored a controlled 25 to retire with Trevor and Kye left to score the remaining runs and ease us to 106-1 from 11.3 overs.
A great victory for the reserves to move us up into 2nd in the table, next week we are playing 3rd placed and old enemy's Woodham Mortimer III's t 12:30.
